I was wondering what to post here since i had nothing to comment on.....until this morning....
This post is not meant to criticize other fields of engineering .... it is just meant to highlight the uniqueness of mechanical discipline.
a friend of mine repented for choosing mechanical engineering as his career option. He was comparing IT jobs with mechanical jobs. He was overflowing with complaints about the mechanical field, about the salary it promises to provide, about the working conditions and it went on and on till i could no longer take it up.....
i dedicate this post to that poor fellow out there....
to learn about things that move the world is very fascinating. Engineering serves this purpose of carrying the world forward. When it comes to engineering the immediate word that flashes in our mind is mechanical engineering.
if u ask me what's mechanical engineering ???
i would say it is an art and science of creation.... Art; it needs skill and will. science; because it too has some systematic procedures.creation; we create right from simple tools, which helps u to open crown of a bottle to the most indigenous, complex machines that keep the world rotating...
Even though many engineering disciplines have evolved through years.... still it's graduates are called engineers..... ENGINE-ERS..... meaning a engine driver. This ultimately and inarguably means a mechanical professional. This shows that mechanical engineering is the forerunner and one of the oldest field.
old here does not mean that it's a tradition and it should be followed,it means that though many breath taking technologies have been developed it is the mechanical phenomenon that stand as fundamental concrete base for that technology.
IT sectors are seeing a down slide.... and the market is melting down.... but still a safety pin manufacturing company is carrying on with it's production schedule without stopping it's operation. this is because we serve the fundamental needs of the people.
even though computers can boast of high end technologies.... it needs a rack and pinion mechanism to operate it's CD drive .... that's the power of mechanical engineering.

in his visit to this wonderful Earth, he has left an indelible marks.
As a young man like you in his college days, he was a debater of far excellence. He spoke about his young life.in that he paints one incident which comes to my mind at this moment.
when ever an opportunity comes his way, to be frank all the moment opportunity embraces one who is alert and awake to respond to the situation.
One day he went to a debating competition to a far off place from his college. He spoke far about a subject and the assembling elite gave a thunderous applause, to his flawless reasons.
thus ensuring that he will get the first prize.
the guy who is supposed to voice his opinion against the same subject did not turn for the event.
so the mystic Osho went to the organizers of the debate and requested them to give him an opportunity to speak on the subject against for earlier he spoke far, support.
the organizers agreed to his request and OSHO,the enlightened spoke more eloquently against the same topic for which earlier, hardly an 10 minutes earlier he spoke far.
in the end the sponsors of the debate has to give away both prizes, far and against to the same person.
such is the wonderment of Mystic OSHO.

"One of the greatest things about discovering your soul mission is the realization that you can live it all the time. It’s not dependent upon a particular career, job, relationship, or situation. My soul mission is: “I liberate and empower.” I live that mission in obvious ways—writing, speaking, —but also in conversation with a friend or how I interact with people. In teaching singers, music masters liberates their voices and empowered them through strong and dependable vocal technique to succeed in the extremely competitive worlds of opera and musical theater. When you let go and follow your INTUTIVE sense of who you really are and what you are meant to be doing, living soul mission comes naturally.
So how do you discover your soul mission? You can start by breathing into your soul and remembering a time when you were incredibly happy, totally consumed by what you were doing, completely lost in the moment. Perhaps it was when you were a child, or maybe it was last week. Perhaps it was for an hour, maybe for a year. Step back in your memory to that time and breathe it in. USE OF VISUALIZATIONS
use a number of visualizations to help your self to tap into the soul intuitively—to look beneath the mask they wear to meet the world every day. The entire process is one of intuitively re-discovering who you are at your essence—discovering the driving passion or fuel for your life.
As you discover your soul mission, it is important to CONDENSE IT INTO A STATEMENT THAT IS SIX (6)WORDS or less. Too long a statement waters down the energy and impact. You are looking for the fewest words with the greatest punch—a statement that calls you forth to your most expansive self and to your greatest potential, not just for the immediate future, but for your lifetime.
Living soul mission is not something that you do “instead of” something else—it’s something that you do “through” everything. Living your soul mission doesn’t necessarily mean you have to change career paths, relationships, religious affiliation, or communities. Any one who have Discovered their soul missions well into their careers and through living it, found new fulfillment and success in their work. They also realized that in many ways they had been living their soul missions all along; the new awareness of it just heightened its effectiveness and impact in their lives. Their careers became the vehicles for living their life purpose. The more you focus on your soul mission as the primary consideration for everything you do, the more it informs your life, and the more every part of your life begins to be a reflection of your true essence.
